Anniversary Trip to San Diego

This year for our anniversary we went to San Diego. Heith was already going to be there earlier in the week for a deep sea fishing trip so I flew out on Friday night to meet him there for the weekend. I picked the most disgusting hotel. It was so gross and made me so bummed out. (In my defense the pictures on the hotels website were deceiving) so it was not completely my fault. The room was the size of a small bedroom and the closet was the bathroom, literally. If you sat down on the toilet, the sink was 2 inches from your face. Needless to say we did not spend a lot of time in our hotel room and it was not romantic. It was a little cold while we were there but we walked around town and went to some antique shops, grabbed lunch and then headed to Carmel for a Fall Festival. We brought a lot of yummy things there to take back home like flavored hot chocolate, dips, bread, and mustard's. After the festival we met up with Eric and Heather in old town San Diego and went to an art fair. They were also celebrating their 5 year anniversary. We walked the art fair for a couple hours and then we each headed back to our hotels to get ready for dinner. We went to a really nice Italian restaurant for dinner. Heather and I both showed up in the same color dresses. It was so funny because we did not plan that. We stuffed ourselves there and walked around town for a little bit before each of us headed back to our hotels. The next day we woke up and went out for breakfast and then headed back to AZ. On our anniversary I always find it a good time to do a marriage check and just see how each of our Love Tanks are doing. So the ride home we took the time to discuss our marriage, things we would like to see change in the future, family, etc. It was nice a nice trip. I still can't believe it has been 5 years since we have been married and almost 10 together. Time flies when you are having fun!
