O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree!

Here it is..... our first Christmas Tree in our first house! We picked it up on Sunday night from one of the tree lots down the street from us. Heith's best friends Chris was working so we had to make sure we got their before he left so he could help us get the perfect one. (with the perfect friend discount) :) We finished decorating it last night and celebrated with some egg nog ( which I actually liked) surprisingly. Heith decided to try and add a little liquor to his like the carton said but I think it ended up being better plain. Now all of our decorations are up EXCEPT our stockings. I can't find a place to put them anywhere. It is such a bummer because I really want to put them up but I can't just put them in some random place it. I am running out of options too so I am not sure if they will go up this year or not??? Once the tree was up and decorated I moved all the presents from the spare bedroom and put them under the tree. It all looks complete now. It was so fun going through some of my old ornaments. My mom has always gotten us an ornament every year so when we grew up we would have ornaments for our trees. I will always cherish that and do that with my kids as well. It is so fun to open up my box of ornaments and see ones dated back from 1994 and so on. It makes me smile each time I hang them up. This year it has been a little harder getting into the Christmas spirit for Heith and I. Our hearts are just saddened by some of the family things going on around us and we just wish we could help make it better. We know God has a plan in all of this and even though we dont' know what it is, or even understand it, we still need to trust him. Needless to say after we put the tree up and it was finished I think we both had a little sigh of comfort that everything is going to be ok this Christmas. Please continue to pray for both our families during this time.

Thank you!
