Lake Powell Here we come!

Well we are headed out tomorrow for Heith's big 30th Birthday trip to Lake Powell. Heith has always wanted to rent a house boat so I surprised him (at least for awhile) and planned a trip with friends to go and celebrate. Obviously we are celebrating way early since Heith's birthday isn't until November but we needed to have nice weather to do this. So we picked this weekend instead of our annual camping trip. Heith and I, plus 15 friends, will be relaxing on a 62' Houseboat for the next 4 days. Let's be honest there probably won't be any relaxing going on. We rented a speedboat and have a speedster coming up with tubes and wake boards, hiking, horse shoes, games.... too much fun! We are so excited!

I have been planning this trip for the last year and I am not going to lie, but I am kind of glad it is finally here and over with. There are a lot of things involved in planning a trip like this, that I didn't expect. This past weekend we went to Costco to get the 1st half of the food and drinks and tonight I will make my final trip. Our whole spare bedroom is literally packed with tubs of pots an pans, utensils, seasonings, cases of water, soda, etc. There is so much stuff. I will have lots of photos to share when we get back!
