Dinner Preparation
Meatballs!
Well a few weeks ago, I organized a service project for the women at our church to serve dinner at a local shelter. It is actually a shelter for homeless Young adults from the ages of 18-21. I had a great group of volunteers and a wonderful turnout. We made homemade meatballs and spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread. We also made this awesome apple cobbler. We had a few extra volunteers so we also cleaned the tables and chairs in the dining hall. I had a great time. My passion is to help others, whether it be feeding the homeless, being out in the community serving, or just being there for someone in need. I have always enjoyed making time to do these kinds of things. I plan on organizing a few more events like this. The shelter we served at is called Home Base Youth Services. They have a great facility there and a great program. So if you know of anyone that might need a place to stay you can contact them for information. If you are interested in donating they are always looking for clothing and food drives.
