The photos are uploaded backwards but you get the idea. Our first stop was a potty break for Abby on the way to California. We left Tuesday night after work and drove to Irvine. We didn't get there til about 12:30am so it we were pretty tired. We played 20 questions in the car to stay awake and had a bunch of snack foods. We woke up Wednesday and had breakfast at Heather's parents house and then headed out around 11 to venture up the Pacific Coastal Highway. We ended up stopping in a little town and in Cambria and saw the movie Couples Retreat. I think I was the only one that thought it was funny. We had pizza and then headed out to our hotel. We stayed at this cute inn that looked really like a little cottage. We had a nice dinner that night and then went to bed because we were getting up early to make it to the Hearse Castle early for a tour. I couldn't take a lot of pictures at the Castle because I couldn't figure out how to shut off my flash and you can't use flash in the castle. The pool was the best part. It had marble stairs and was just so pretty. I loved how it looked like it was in Rome or Greece. After the tour we went up the road some more and stopped to see some sea lions that were laying out on the beach. There were probably over 200 of them. We had lunch in this small little town (I can't remember the name of it) then headed up to Monterey. We got in around 5pm to the hotel and got settled. Our rooms shared a combining door so we could just hang out with each other when ever we wanted. We ordered pizza the first night and watched the Hang Over. Eric had gotten a fruit basket for him and Heather and I go chocolate covered strawberries for Heith and I. It was all so yummy except for the Brie cheese that smelt like rotten broccoli. We took care of that though. The guys invested in some corn cob pipes and had fun smoking those while they sat on the patio. The next morning we slept in a little and went and walked around town. We had breakfast and did some shopping and then walked around the bay. I bought a skull apron and an ornament. Heith wanted a carmel apple so we got that for dessert. We all got massages out there. Heith and I had a couples massage so we got to be in the same room which was cool. The girl I had was a little rough but still it was so nice to get a massage. We went back to the hotel after wards and sat in the jacuzzi for alittle bit. We went to dinner at a restaurant that over looked the ocean. We got to sit up on the second floor and look out over the ocean it was so pretty. We played some intense games when we got back to the hotel. We had a arm wrestling match, a push-up match, and played some ginn rummy. It was sooo much fun that night! I will have to send you more photos once I get them from Heather and tell the big story of my first roller coaster experience. Stay tuned for that later!
