Fun Times!

Labor Day weekend Heith was in San Diego for his friend's bachelor party. Heith is a groomsman in his wedding this coming February. We are so excited for Brad and Carrie. While the guys were out us ladies got pedicures and went to dinner at this Italian restaurant. We had a good time. Saturday morning I decided to get my eye brows waxed for the first time. Wow! I had never had them waxed before and it was quite the experience. To my surprise it did not hurt, and the wax was not hot like I thought it would be. However, I have really sensitive skin and my the skin above my eyebrows was so red afterwards. Almost like Raggady Anne's red hair (I'm exaggerating a little). So above my eye brows it was like a 2 inch strip of redness. I couldn't even take a picture of it to blog about because I was so embarrassed. The lady said the redness goes down for most people in 20 minutes to an hour. I was okay cuz I knew it would go back to normal. Not knowing my face was going to look like that afterwards, I had scheduled a meeting with this lady to donate all my old prom/bridesmaid dresses to the army for this ball they are having in November. Needless to say I was quite embarrassed meeting up with her and explaining what was wrong with my face.
So after that I went out to my parents and we met at one of my favorite Christian bookstores and then went to church. My mom said hmmm your skin looks a little red above your eyes.... had to explain that one. The worst part is you can't wear make up over that area so I couldn't really cover it up. Keep in mind this is now 4 hours later and I am still red. So Sunday I had nursery duty at church, and then went to the store. Then picked up around the house so it would be nice and clean for when Heith got home. We hung out the rest of the night at the house cuz Heith was exhausted and hadn't got much sleep. He also noticed the redness above my eye brows and this is now the day after. My eyes ended up staying red all the way through Tuesday, and still could not put any make up on it to cover it up or anything. I called the lady and she said that she is sooooo surprised my skin was so sensitive because every thing looked fine when she was pulling them. She said it is normal though, and I was like really this normal, Seriously, I think not. It was however get less red each day so I knew it was getting better but it can't be like this every time or I am seriously going back to tweezing, that is for sure!
