Camping Recap

This weekend was a lot of fun to get away. We didn't end up going to Lake Mormon so instead we went to Lake Kniniknik which is about 30 minutes out side of Flagstaff. It was so nice during the day in the 80's and sooo cold at night. We froze our butts off the first night. I have never been so cold while camping. We ended up getting to camp on Friday around 4pm. We set our tents up first and then the little kitchen area.
We saw cows every where. It was pretty funny at first but then their "Mooing" during the night and early am got old quickly. We cooked some brauts the first night and hung out by the fire. The next morning every one woke up early due to the cows once again. We figured we would go find the lake and then come back and make a nice breakfast. The lake was pretty mucky and no one had any luck catching any fish, however, Heith did catch a clam. It snapped right down on his spinner. After about an hour of that we headed back to camp and ate some breakfast burritos. Brad made breakfast for everyone which was really nice! Bethany and Craig decided to take a little nap and Brad and Heith played a game of washers. Once we all were up and moving again we packed a lunch and headed back to the lake for more fishing, and then went shooting. We had quite the time shooting. My ears are still ringing!
We went back to camp after that and started dinner and the camp fire again. It didn't seem as cold Saturday night so that was nice but poor Heith, started getting a sore throat and not feeling well. He did not sleep well that evening so he was pretty pooped out by the time we packed every thing up. We ended up going into Flagstaff to meet our friends Cody and Heather. Heith was in Cody's wedding and Cody was in our wedding. They have just recently moved back from Colorado so it is so nice to have them so close again. They also just found out they are having a little girl and we are so excited for them. We just met them at Chili's for lunch and then headed home. We got home, unpacked and plopped down on the couch to watch the Colts vs Cardinals game. I successfully caught up on all the laundry and cleaning and things are back to normal at the house and still made it to bed around 8:30pm! Gotta love that.
