Girl Time!

This weekend was pretty busy. Friday night Heith and I watched the Cardinals game and just had a date night at home. We made some home made banana splits and they were yummy! Saturday Heith worked and went to his friends house for their Fantasy Football Draft party. I went out to Tempe to celebrate my friend Mira's birthday with her. We went and played in door golf at Crosswoods on Chandler Bvld and Kyrene. It is a golf simulation game but you actually tee off, and putt and it was a lot of fun. Mira managed to shank her ball so bad inbetween the padding it was hilarious. I had quite a few shots where I dont' know what happened but I was hitting the ball with my driver and the ball litterally went straight up in the air and landed right down on top of where you tee off at. The ball didn't go forward one inch just straight up. It was so funny. After that we went to Party city with her room mates and picked up the decorations for her Vegas style birthday party. They got a lot of cute decorations, like Elvis, and poker chips etc. After that we headed over to the mall. The goal was to do a little shopping and then get our make up done by one of her friends that works at Sephora but we never made it to shopping cuz the make up part took forever. It was really fun to get dolled up though. I really just liked how she did my eye shadow, it was a little over the top and not for every day wearing but perfect for night time fun. The best part was that the make up consultants there will do your make up for free. The party was a blast, I got to see a lot of old friends that I have not seen in awhile and we enjoyed catching up like old times.
Sunday we went to church in the morning and I just love the series our pastor is preaching on. The series title is "Why do we worry?" Hmm seeing how I am Queen Worrywart it is so perfect for me. After church I headed off to one my friend Crystal's baby shower. She is having a little boy on September 28th and I can't wait to meet little Markus. I carpooled with Heith's Aunt Heather and it was nice to catch up with her because I have not seen her in a long time. While I was gone my hubby went to the grocery store for me (and only spent $45 bucks, so proud!) so I wouldn't have to go when I got home. He also picked us up a movie to watch and my favorite candy in the world, Swedish fish. We watched Adventureland. It was not as funny as we thought it was going to be and there were a ton of "dollhousing" scenes for those of you who know what that means you know I had my eyes closed and ears plugged. But it was nice to just relax with Heith. We didn't get to see each other much Saturday or Sunday so I love it when we can just hang out and relax around the house. Well this week will be busy because we have Amber's 29th birthday and Hannah's 18th birthday to celebrate. (Heith's sisters) So I'll try and upload photos from that later on!
