GO Green!!

These are our two new trees. Chris and Heith spent most of Sunday digging holes and planting these beautiful trees. We added one to the front yard and the other in the back yard. I wish I could remember both there names but I can only remember one. The on in the front yard is a Jacaranda ( I have no clue if I am spelling that right or not). That one should grow into a nice size tree that blooms really pretty purple flowers if I remember correctly what Heith told me. We are having a problem with the sprinkler system in the back yard so I am hoping this tree makes it because it is really nice. We are going to call the landscape company again because the tree that died previously the roots were like one big mud pile because of all the water it is getting. (because of the leak)
These are just a few of the changes we are starting to make to our back yard. We would eventually like to lay some flag stone down and do a few other things so we are slowly making progress. It has become Heith's personal project to give our back yard a make over so I am excited to see what his creative mind has in mind.
More pictures to come!! :)

While Heith and Chris were doing the landscaping my friend Mira and I ran our first 5k. It was at the Phoenician Resort off of Camelback. It was so wet and cold when we first got there but as we were warming up the sun appeared for about 15 minutes which was so nice. We signed up for this race like 2 weeks ago so we didn't have any time to train for it. We ran the race in 27 minutes which we were very proud of for our first race and having no training. As soon as it was over and they started the awards ceremony it started pouring for at least 45 minutes. We had to run to our cars in the pouring down rain. There were puddles every where so we were soaked by the time we made it to them. It was fun, I am not sure if I would do really long marathons and all unless I got in way better shape but a few of these every now and then are good.

ooo love the trees! and I'm so proud of your run! I should try and train for something like that! Maybe you can give me some pointers...? I was getting good distance a few months ago but then I stopped when I got prego. Can't wait to see skiing pics!
