Heith and I decided to host a little New Years Eve Party this year at our house. We invited some friends to come over around 8 and ring in the New Year with us. We tried something different by having a theme for the party. It was called "Dress to Impress". Everyone came dressed up in suits and dresses and looked great. It was so much fun to get all dressed up. We had quite a bit of food, music, and a champagne toast at midnight. The girls played a pretty intense game of pool as you can tell in the photos with our war paint on our faces, and the guys had their intense game of craps on our pool table. We all just had a good time hanging out together.
I think I was the second person to fall asleep around 2:30am but most of the others were right behind me. We woke up the next morning and all had some breakfast together. We enjoyed some coffee, muffins and cinnamon rolls that my sister prepared for us since she was up before me. Thanks sis for being such a great help ! :) Heith and I were exhausted still when we woke up since we were both fighting a cold so after all our guests left we went back to bed for a little nap. It was very much needed. My parents came up after my mom got off work and we went to dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday. She is such a great woman and we are very blessed to have such wonderful parents! We went to Desert Ridge and ate at BJ's Brewery. It was very yummy. We ended up just going home after that because we were still pretty tired and so was Nicole since she didn't get a nap earlier. So my parents headed back home and Heith and I just laid on the couch the whole night. It was great.
I am looking forward to 2009. I have not had a chance to sit down and make out my New Years Resolution yet but it is on my to do list. Here are just a few things off the top of my head that I would like to work on:
Less Worrying*******
Working out a little more
Finding a new hobby that I enjoy
Work on my relationship with God
These are just a few of my list that I will be working on but I am excited the new year ahead of us. I think this weekend when Heith and I go on our date we will talk about our New Years Resolutions for our marriage. I hope 2009 is a even greater year for all of you.
